It is important for all patients to understand a fundamental principle of the third party mechanism. Unless your provider (doctor or health care facility) specifically takes assignment of benefits, the patient is ultimately responsible for any non-covered services and their charges. The insurance relationship is between the patient and the insurance company not between the patient and the provider.
Please Note - Patients are responsible for payment of services rendered. We will bill medical insurance for covered medical services. Our staff is knowledgeable about insurance and available to answer your questions. Patients are responsible for understanding their medical insurance coverage before the time of service by their provider. This may include communication by the patient with their insurance carrier to verify coverage and deductible status.
